Is this game serious? No trader, no option to store items...

I just started the Garbage area and completed the first main quest with that Unknown guy.
I am full of stuff, have two great new gear on me and there are no any box or trader to sell my things.
Do I really need to crawl back to the first village now?

Play the game like you are really in that zone! So don't carry every garbage with you! And nope you don't need to go all the way back - nearly every region/map has a base/trader!

There is a place in Garbage with a trader, bed, your personal stash, etc. It is located about 1/3 the way down from the north edge of Garbage, along the east-west centerline of Garbage.

The traders, technicians, beds, personal stash, etc… will appear in your PDA map as you progress the game, these POI are by default not shown before you visit these areas for the first time.

That strategy works until everything you're carrying is broken and the guns you pick up from enemies are broken as well and jam all the time. And now you're also overencumbered.
