Is Chernobyl still radioactive?

Since my president will be opening for peace talks to stop the bloodshed over there, I kinda want to visit the zone. But if there's still Ionizing radiation I'll reconsider, personally I wanna see the ruins of what the soviets left behind regarding all those coffin apartments. Not to disturb, but to witness.

UPDATE: Can you visit Chernobyl in 2024? No. As of March 2023, Chernobyl's Exclusion Zone is closed to visitors, due to the ongoing war between the Ukraine and Russia.

There are guides that will take you to safe zones for tours but there is still low level background radiation. Some areas are still "no go zones" due to higher levels of radiation.

Just remember to take some vodka and you'll be fine lol

Not the least of which, is the fact that troop movements by Russia has disturbed a lot of the forestry and other ground areas, stirring up instances of airosolized radioactive particles
