The folly & genius of bringing home loot
I'm playing on Story difficulty (it allows me to enjoy the experience without getting scared away by the challenge) and I'm about 100hr in. I got to the point in the main quest where I'm supposed to take out the beacons in the swamp and I decided that I'm going to take a tour of the SE portion of the map, cleaning out stashes and getting myself acquainted with everything.
I ended up going after a stash or two in the central checkpoint along the southern wall. I was met with a few waves of IPSF and various factions which I dispatched without much difficulty. As I'm collecting up the gear from all of the dead bodies, I stowed them in one of the duffle bags and would head back into the compound, where I would inevitably meet another squad of baddies. I figured I would grab a full load (including my typical loadout, under 70kg to maintain speed & stamina) and take it back to Zalissya where I would eventually sell it off, then come back for the rest.
This started a seemingly never-ending quest to empty the duffle bag, as I would clean up the additional corpses in the compound and along the path to Zalissya. The walk to & from the loner camp was generally not much of a problem; I averaged around one encounter per passage and many times that was two faction squads taking each other out and me picking up the spoils. The checkpoint was another matter, as I would encounter minimum three waves, sometimes as many as 10 before I could feel comfortable taking my haul back to my personal stash. I would get down to what I thought was 3-4 more loads, and 15 trips later I still have roughly the same amount of gear.
After many hauls between the locations (I think I experienced at least 6 Emissions over the course of this whole thing, all at the checkpoint), I said F it and took the last of the stuff I had stowed. (There was at least a dozen dead guys in the compound, plus another dozen guns just outside the walls from nearby conflicts.) I got back home and did a tally of everything I planned to sell.
To be honest, I might've had maybe 15 weapons and 100 grenades from prior engagements, so this is not completely from these trips, but it's the great majority of it. What I ended up selling was 1087kg of weapons/gear (no supplies, ammo, anomalies, or anything else) with a sell value to Hamster of 624000 coupons. I also moved maybe three full loads (~50kg each) of ammo & supplies back & forth. I probably burned through 60000 coupons in repairs to deal with all of the firefights in between.
There was a great OGLAF comic that summarizes this very well. (https://64.media.tumblr.com/85df252b463cc55ddf9e809c8d05046d/tumblr_oazjqhSVum1qz5preo1_500.jpg) In it, a fan (Bloodfang) writes a letter to the Craft Berserker, asking what other things (besides goblets) could he make with the skulls of his slain enemies. CB says he has the same problem, until he started making festive skull-chimes. He begins going through the steps until he tips over the red glitter, which sets off his berserker rage and he kills a bunch of people. CB wakes up after passing out and notices that his pile of skulls has only increased in the meantime. He replies to Bloodfang, Just throw them out, Craft only begets more craft.
I probably said that last bit 30 times while I was doing the shuttle run. The end result was quite lucrative, it wasn't particularly difficult, and I have the appropriate mindset to do this without boring myself to tears, but I do not recommend farming locations like this. It will attempt to suck the fun out of the game.

With a few hours, I installed an endurance tweak and NO weight for Ammo mods. Makes the games 100X more enjoyable. Needed it in the original games as well. Makes it tolerable. NO way I have the time nor patience to make runs to just lug gear back and forth to make enough credits. No way in hell=)

Happy to see that pack rats enjoy the game. There's no need to do any of that because the story missions get you all the coupons you really need, but whatever floats your boat.

111 hrs I only ever pick up meds and ammo I use, most everything else at this point gets left. 7 figures of coupons and nothing to spend it on but repairs at this point.
