My Game Keep Freezing. Need to Hard Restart PC.

Monitor: 4k - 240Hz

Hi Stalkers.
I love STALKER and I want to keep playing. Unfortunately I cant.
My game keep freezing. Not my PC but my game.
Sometimes I can play for an hour and other times 1 - 5 mins. Changes each time.
I can hear the game in the background but I cant do anything about it.

I cant even close the game. I can open other apps (cant access them tho´).
Even if I close Steam is still opened.
I need to make a hard restart every time the game does this.

Feel like Ive tried everything. Ive changed the settings in game, on my Nvidia app, taking it slow in game, reading about it online etc.

Please help!

YEAH! Exactly my problem!
Ive also double checked my drivers and even tried to leave the PC running for 20 min but after that; no sound, closed all apps except STALKER 2.
I dont get it man.

Im going to try Nvidia Debug Mode. I read somewhere on Reddit that it helped him.

Sounds to me you have found a memory leak. Check Taskmanager next time how much mem is used and dont forget to report the issiue.

THIS IS HOW TO CLOSE THE GAME:

BEFORE you run the game, launch Task Manager (ctrl-shift-esc), and set Options -> Always On Top. (This only has to be done once, but it has to be done beforehand.)

Now when the game hangs, you can launch Task Manager (ctrl-shift-esc) and Task Manager will be on top, and you can interact with it. Find the Stalker 2 task, right-click, and End Task.

same here, it started happen after 90 hour (ok im slow) and everytime in in Rostock checking gear, loot crates or try to buy/sell from merchants.
im on not so ancient potato:
Ryzen 7 5800x, RTX 4070 12gb, 64 GB DDR4, in 1440p and have lowerrd many settings to medium/high.

Exact same here. Tried all the standards steps (mentioned here: https://www.gamingnchat.co.uk/index.php?threads/how-to-fix-stalker-2-heart-of-chernobyl-game-freeze.1257/).
Doesn't help. Played at 4K ultra settings, lowered it to 1080 with texture, shaders shadows to medium, doesn't work.

That worked!!! For the last 30 minutes, back to ultra at 4K without the freezing crap!

huh. Learn something new everyday.
This does 2 things it turns out.

It sets all OCs for your card back to stock and starts logging in the "X-Log file.
Where that is, who knows.

Id be careful running your card like this all the time, that X-log might end up being quite large.
