This latest update has also caused my shader pre-compilation to fail.
I am also on an AMD 6700xt. Not sure what's going on.
the issue is, i cant go past the error message lmao. I click ok, the game tells me to press any button to continue and I cant continue.. And then my gpu just sits at 99% usage whilst i cant play the game lmao
Again tho, I shouldnt need to reinstall my drivers when my drivers work fine with everything else. I cleared directx cache, I only got into the game bcuz it bugged itself past the shader cache warmup. And then, finally when I have to restart to apply my graphics settings because its eating my gpu and cpu, back to shader cache warmup.
Had the same issue (NVIDIA though, not AMD). Deleting the shader cache worked for me. Alternate instructions for people who don't want to dig into their file system:
- Type cleanup in the Windows search box and select Disk Cleanup from the best match.
- Select the C drive from the drop-down menu and click on OK.
- In the Disk Cleanup window, tick the checkbox next to DirectX Shader Cache and click on OK.
Yea but I did this, and it didnt fix it lmao
The latest AMD driver is optimized for Stalker 2, but if you dont want to use that because its buggy, than what can i say.
Game runs fine here, other games i play got no problems also with the last AMD driver, so i dont know what buggy about it.
Got 2 rigs running this game, R7 3700X / RX6700XT and R9 7900X / RX7900XTX, both running the latest driver, both having no problem, Exept wen i mess with the Shader Cache (if the Devs wanted you to delete the Shader Cache, they would have mentioned that in the Patch notes)
But see thats my point. My issue is unrelated to the driver. A driver doesnt fix the game's shader caching breaking, right? IF it did, then it would be an AMD only issue, or Nvidia only. Not both. I might do a cleanup later and install the latest driver but it just seems ridiculous to need to do that just for a game
