Meanwhile I'm there with a 3070 TI, all settings on low and downscaling res to 1080p on a 2k screen and barely reaching 60 FPS in Pripyat with all the framegen options... so Disagree.
something is wrong with your setup then I am on a 3070 and get 70 - 80 with all epic detail at 1080p with framgen on
There are some important grafic settings to make tho.
Performance Boost: TSR/Quality for example. And some unimportant options are on low probably.
Most is between Medium and High, and i have 35FPS.
Populated areas sometimes 20-25 FPS.
Randomly and very rare are breakdowns to 2FPS, but thats obviously a bug/glitch.
In pripyat?
I am glad you are able to deal with it, but I do not see how that is a game that is "running good".
yes almost all over game, only time it dropped was in rostok, I'm only on a Ryen 7 2700x as well which is about a 6 year old chip now
Also running Nvidia Overlay Filter, which cost also performance. So there realy is some optimization potential. As I started the game I used lower settings/no filter and had mostly 60 FPS. 40 in towns. However you can life with.
