Back to Slag Heap bug

Killed Varan, didnt do anything with Shah or Roosevelt. Got back to Slag Heap to talk with Diode. But no one in his room.
Sgt. Metlov should appear there and tell me Diode is in first floor, but Diode room is empty. Any fix for that? Tried to reload my save, do some more stuff around Garbage, but nothing changed.

What story parts? The only active main mission is the seemingly bugged one. Do I need to go to new areas and just do other missions?

But this is part of main quest. You get call from Diode to see him and talk. When you come back to Slag Heap, The Warden took over meanwhile and Diode should be replaced with Sgt. Metlov who tells you that Diode is in upper floor. You go to stairs entrance where another warden guy stops you and you tell him you going to see Diode, but this is impossible for me, becuase Sgt. Metlov never appear in Diode room to tell me that, therefore I have no dialogie option to tell that warden guard at stairs to let me in.

talk to anyone in there the warden on the stairs will let u inside when u show him your warden patch

ok so I loaded earlier save (still in Varan base after clearing it) went directly back to Slag and this time Sgt. Metlov luckily WAS in Diodes place and sent me to upper floor..so my progress is saved, for now.
