Game is really "un" playable - not fun - extremly frustrating
As I have read in many posts/discussions there are way too many issues.: 30-45 minute "compiling" wait time regardless; the supposed "realism" is a large pile of BS; animal/monster actions/movements/damage is off the charts and is does not matter what level of play is chosen - the lowest level "rookie" appears to be the normal play level I have seen in the 30yrs of gaming I have - it is not easy - mob levels the same, extreme difficulty in shooting targets (and you can take your "get the shotgun" and place it somewhere dark - does not matter unless that is your only weapon you use period and only carry that ammo); there is no "long range" style of play available since "scoping" out an area does not reveal what you might expect and npc's/creatures don't spawn until you enter the area; re-spawn counter simply re-populates the area while you are in it so looting/searching is a no-go not enough time; quantity of monsters is out of control 12-20 dogs/rats/etc that run at unrealistic speed, make 90/180 degree turns instantaneously, run around the player in circles then snap change directions, run and hide so they cannot be shot once you are on something where they are not able to do damage, are unlootable; human NPC's are easy enough to deal with but are not worth the time to loot - do a quick save, enter a area with human npc's, eliminate all, loot them lo and behold maybe 6rds of ammo yet they never run out, broken weapons (all there weapons are broken all the time not worth the time/effort to haul and sell), and maybe a med or slice of bread, go back, load save point, head shot several, same loot; only usable beds are in bases along with repair and trader no field cleaning/repair kit available with limited uses, no traveling trader/repair and yup you can trade with npc's and get squat; timer between "feeding times" stupid fast. So "normal" mode needs to be normal everything at 100% - typical mob quantity spawns/damage/actions/etc, rookie needs to be at 60-70% all around, higher level well above 100%; game needs to be changed where everything is easier at all levels then tweaked up either with updates or user preference, this also means rewards go up etc. Why would any company dell deluxe/ultimate options that include gear and stuff yet not deliver it at game start but rather hide the stuff with no clue where to find or put in areas that require high gear just to get something and hours of grind time to acquire - makes no sense at all. There is no way to go from base area to other areas without arriving with depleted ammo/health/etc, damaged weapons and several death re-spawn until you are able to achieve quest goal but then the fun begins, you have a limited time to explore/search the area for stuff before poof all the stuff you killed returns and you don't have squat to deal with it. so you die 6/7/8 times getting back to a base, pick up a few coins (just enough to repair gear) and maybe replenish your inventory it is all a waste of time and effort. Use stashes/boxes/bags/etc you say... so I will spend hours and hours and days gathering stuff to put in containers along the way so I can always have stuff around the map I can use - that's a "no dawg". My overall rating for this game is a 3 out of 10.

Might look somewhat similar, but has no relation to the Fallout universe nor game mechanics.

This is very normal for the Stalker Series. Generally, mod the experience to your liking if you don't like something. That was how I got into the stalker series (Stalker GAMMA was my first game) Some situations like 10 dogs showing up and running around you require you to think like a Stalker, not like you the gamer. if it's not worth the ammo, meds, or damage to your armor then dont fight them. Use nades to clear larger packs of enemies. find more artifacts to sell they make you a lot of money, as well as greatly affect gameplay.

It is normal after first entering the Zone you would have weak armor and very little idea of how to work in the Zone. Stay in the Lesser Zone and learn how the game is asking you to play  When you start thinking like a Stalker, maybe you'll enjoy it. These games are slow burn that's extra difficult in the beginning with the midgame being a bit easier, and then they throw some harder curveballs at you in the later game.

I know with out a single doubt, you will look back on this in a few years, when you are actually an adult, and cringe at how you acted, and that makes me smile.

There are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of mods to tweak everything you mentioned. And copy/paste a .pak file is maybe the most easiest way of modding a Game ever.

He's actually right though? The kind of ♥♥♥♥ OP is complaining about is par for the course with Stalker.

he does have a point tho..actually more than one
after you have cleared a location and been within its boundaries long enough it simply repopulates, sometimes its bandits sometimes its mutants sometimes its Monolith sometimes its Mercenaries
I remember one time I was in a location for a long time to find the code to unlock an armory cage door and I got spawninng literally ONTOP OF ME:
-Psy Dog
-Psy Dog a second time
-a bunch of zombies
-a squad of mercenaries in exoskeleton armors
-a squad of bandits
until finally I found the code looted the armory for piss poor loot and ran away from there
in the end I spent more money on ammo and durability of weapons to deal with all the respawns that I lost money considering the selling value of what I picked up from the armory
overall looting bodies (and even stashes 95% of the time) is extremely not worth it
you never find artifacts stashed away on the stalker stashes
or weapons in good conditions / rare weapons attachments on the bodies of Mercenaries
or a bunch of coupons on the body of bandits
even the amount of ammo you get is piss poor sometimes even a single round of ammo
overall not worth it at all

Straight up, these are the longest run on sentences in existence.

you could've just said

The game has several issues, including long compiling wait times and excessive difficulty, even at the lowest level. Monsters and NPC actions are unrealistic, and looting yields minimal rewards. Beds, repair, and trading are only available at bases, and the respawn rate is too high, making gameplay frustrating. Deluxe gear should be accessible from the start, and overall, the game feels like a waste of time, earning a rating of 3 out of 10.

This.

OP needs to learn about paragraphs.

Honestly the OP is right about a lot of stuff. Stalker 2 feels like a wish version of a stalker game mechanically.

I disagree about the difficulty though. You are swimming in meds the entire game. You can just out heal anything but fall damage.
