Any consequenses when doing that? I'm about to shoot his face because I can't talk to him. I think I was supposed to be attacked by a bloodsucker in the cave but the thing was already dead when I got there....
Um.. none that I can see. The job giver (forgot his name) thanks me for getting the ward sensor back from Squint, and I move on. That's about it, the town still likes me.
Oddly enough, he never becomes hostile even with traps triggered. You could take the mission from him but after the mission is done he just stands there looking at you with a blank stare with no dialogue option.
*side missions; if you don't have any other side mission available, you can visit unexplored areas, collect artifacts which you don't yet have, etc.
