The carry weight limit is too annoying
How are you supposed to bring loot back without being overencumbered? You need to sell loot to maintain your gear but I end up walking for ages overencumbered, has become really annoying now...

It's already balanced.
Seriously you already can carry like 8-9 Rifles in backpack for sale on you if you manage inventory correctly.
You also have artifacts, that increase the carry limit.

Get yourself the "Weird Water" artifact.

Stop taking things out with you that you don't need. Artifacts increase carry limit. Mods to gear increase carry limit.

That one IMO is so good, it starts to break the carry weight mechanics.
Like for me when I have 140 carry limit now and I can carry so much stuff back to vendors on me I net like 20-30k coupons easily on a single run.

This isn't the game for hauling stuff around.

Only bring the bare essentials when you're about to go out on a raid. The game is designed to be like this.

Don't carry any red guns. Don't carry too much ammo. Get some better artifacts for weight and upgrade gear. But early game it is annoying. But this is a walking simulator at the beginning. Run a bit walk. Run. Walk. In 30 min you get there.

Yep. Prep for your mission by culling your inventory. Get your loadout below 40kg, and lower than that is better. You don't need to carry all those bandages and medkits and 1000 rounds for every gun. Establish max consumable limits. Like say, ten medkits and always cull when you are over your limit to keep weight in check. Do this for grenades, and bullets and everything.

Wear a suit with a weight capacity upgrade, like a Seva with Sewn-In pockets.

Wear artifacts that add weight carry capacity like the Flytrap.

This will give you around 60+kg of capacity. With guns weighing an average of 4 kg each, that's fifteen you could bring back if you insist on playing this way.

Put broken things in your stash.
Take a guide to Rostok.
......
Profit!
DANILO Dec 20, 2024 @ 6:15am
There is a MOD that lets you carry 99999 Kg
You can adjust it to carry less weight if you want.

The only problem is that for it to work you need to force the game to recognize a change in the weight you can carry.
You can do this by equipping or unequip an artifact that makes you carry more weight or starting a new game

Keep chugging on water and energy drinks. Weird water artifact gives you like +100kg weight. Use guides. If too far away from trader or guide, step one and listen to podcasts.

Not true: Ragman in Rostok buys broken equipment.

That's why stalkers use stashes. If you got stuff that you can't carry, find a stash, leave it there, and sell later when you have room for it.

Go back to your magic inventory game or MOD this one then. I can make 100k a zone easy as I progress. This is what's classed as a "you issue" in STALKER e.g
I might mod something like only save at campfires.
You might mod something else like carry the whole of the zone.
I don't ask the DEVS to do mine as it would make it boring for you, so please don't ask for stuff that would make it boring for stalkers like me.
