Optimization becoming worse.
After this recent patch, I have lost more than 20fps consistently. It is unplayable. I have played 50 hours previous, and averaged around 80 or so fps on epic settings. With subsequent releases of patches, this has slowly lowered, causing me to use high settings. I return to this 1.1, attempting to play on medium, finding myself with an average of 50 fps, and dropping to 35 in certain areas.

This game has become unplayable. Its sad to see. I enjoyed so much time with it.

It's a bit hit and miss it seems, from what I can gather. For me, and others, the game has improved massively.

For some, though I'm sorry to hear, they're still having issues.

BTW I'm using Nvidia hardware. TUF RTX 4080, 32GB RAM, gen 13-I7processor,
I don't seem to have any issues running on max settings. I get smooth fps. I'm sorry, I'm not really helping much, but I'm just trying to offer my experience for context.

There's a lot of advice on the help center thread in this forum, have you given it a read over some coffee?

Oh- graphics drivers have been released for download. 556.14 ver. for Nvidia
I think AMD has a latest version too, but I'm not 100% on that.

There is a mod on Nexus called optimized tweaks, maybe you could try it out if you haven't?

I am up to date with drivers. I have messed around. I have a 4090 with a Ryzen 5950. I do play in 4k but I am comparing how the game performed for me since release. I have taken note of these things and have recorded every playthrough session.

I haven't taken a look at this yet. I will check it out. Thank you.

Well i gained 15 FPS after patch 1.1 Also no more stuttering, and cpu load is much less than it was previously. Game is so much fun now

I gained a massive stability and frame boost, no more stuttering or slowdown anymore, was able to increase all my settings from low to medium, even put a few on high, and still running stable between 68-78 fps.

Old save data. I honestly believe this new update requires a new playthrough.

That's great news friend. Any improvement in HUB areas?

It would also depend how far into the game you are.

Nah you don't need to do that. If you use Nvidia GPU, just shutdown Nvidia app till restart, shut off all streams, overlays and other crap and use it only for drivers. I do it that way since i don't wanna uninstall it. Have a perfectly fine running save i posted here in the middle of Zallisya where save actually works and you get to save the town. It's on Monolith path and Ultimate edition if you wanna try it. Game is also modded but it won't have any impact on you.

Download Vortex from Nexus and then use this:
https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/60
You can experiment with various mods and tailor the game how you like.

unfortunately I'm going to have to be very harsh here...

performance is rubbish-
the bugs are countless even with the latest patch-
npc's are trash-

there are a lot of things that are really bothering me right now... I understand that there were issues, although I can't justify this title in this situation.

sheer disappointment.

Not in my case, the game doesn't stutter like crazy with this patch, better performance than 1.0.3, still stutters but less
[UA]WhiteOverlord Dec 20, 2024 @ 12:26am
After last patch performance is better. Have not experienced fps drops that were constantly occurring before. I guess i even gained few additional fps.
R5 5600, 32GB RAM, RTX 3070. No overclocking.
