Game does not start after patch 1.1.1

same, it worked perfectly fine before and now it doesn't even get pass the shader compilation, spitting out an unrealengine error

I had this happen 3 times in a row. Shader compilation would get stuck after either about 20% or about 80%.

Maybe this was a fluke, but on my 4th attempt, I simply opened the game and let it load without skipping any of the title screens, and it compiled and loaded in really quickly. Worth a try.

Same here, even after doing a COMPLETE fresh install(removed all old traces of game incl. shader caches/settings). I only kept my saves that's it. Steam version. Don't seem to be getting any kind of error - it just freezes and stays stuck.

Yep, getting the same exact thing here. Absolutely zero issues before patch, worked flawlessly and not one crash...also ran great. Now, cannot get past shader comp. Man wth happened here :/

Clear your direct x shader cache through Disk cleanup. Should work then. Just gonna be a slow first time load again. It's likely pulling from the cache pre-patch and having an issue

If you launched after 1.1 and then after 1.1.1 I had the same issue a shader loading, verified my files and I downloaded 1 and now it's working fine.

same problem, cannot load any saved game or continue
steps I have tried
Delete cached shaders
restart pc
restart steam
verify game files
attempted to load 6 times, once the game has loaded i click continue and it crashes back to desktop every time

This will however make the game run a bit worse for most people.
