So how does the anti-bleeding work with this one? I was only able to stop the bleeding with it by unequipping it and then equipping it again... shouldn't it be a constant effect where inflicted bleeding is stopped?

It does stop bleeding simply by being worn, it can just take a few moments. Bleeding isn't binary, it might take 5 seconds or so if its severe - ie, multiple bullet wounds

If you're still bleeding after like 10 seconds or so, then maybe do a simple test on something minor like barb wire and then submit it as a bug if nothings happening.
