Update 1.1 serious performance problems Ryzen 9800x3d, RTX 4090 SOLVED
Hey guys,

my specs:

Ryzen 9800x3d
64gb ram 6000mhz
Rtx 4090

since the update my gpu usage droped from 100 percent to 50/60 in rostok and in general the performance is completly destroyed. I dont know if it is a bug or something.

Do you have similiar experiences ?

Before it ran much better, but after the update it seems like there is some possible bug or something. I also had already two times game freezes at the shader farm up when u satrt the game. Its very strange

Try removing any mods, if you have them, also delete engine.ini config file, maybe it will help.

What is your CPU temperature? Does its speed fluctuate?

I deleted the download cache in steam settings and now it works completly normal. I have 100 percent GPU usage and 150 to 160 fps

i have to say, i dont see much or any improvemnts to the general performance then before. I think they improved the performance and used the overhead to introduce some parts of A-life. So performance is almost similair to before but A-Life is starting to work

There also was about a week ago a new AGESA BIOS update that addressed 9800X3D game performance and had improvements for Stalker 2 mentioned in there. Would be worth updating your BIOS if you have not already.

Should be for all of them as it is an AMD release. It is not specifically for Stalker 2 but from testing it did improve performance in many games including Stalker 2. The version is AGESA 1.2.0.2b.

Not sure what model Asus board you have but i looked and saw it was available for the few Asus boards i looked at. It is available for my Asrock X670E Pro RS. I already updated mine and saw a small improvement. I have a 7800X3D though.
