But generally, look for a location where you can force them to come down a hallway or thru a doorway towards you, crouch, and when the shimmer comes at you, fire away.
Weapons with higher penetration stats are better, because bloodsuckers apparently have an "armor" value, and penetration converts into more damage when there is "armor" involved. (It seems like the only things without "armor" are really weak stuff like the rodents. Everything else, penetration is what you want.)
I usually stand on something and bait them over to attack then shoot but often it takes A LOT of ammo to kill one and then you times that by 2 or 3 and I end up pissing away so much regular ammo. It doesnt feel like they should tank so much. Something with as many abilities as it does should have far less health.
This is mostly a rant post as im by the land bridge to Wild Island and am on the last Blood sucker of 4 that spawned. I have almost no ammo left, again....
That would require having a saiga. I can kill them, they are just cancer. This is a rant post.
This is exactly my point.
blood sucker are already a joke after they've been nerved
well, i appreciate that you respect my opinion, as i do yours but, one important note.
strategies can be cheesy, there are things in the gaming world called "cheese strats"
the existence of strategies does not remove the existence of a cheese, nor does it make your act less cheesy, simply because you call it strategy, thought i'd had to clear that up.
your strategy is basically abusing a flaw in the game to make something easier, that is what makes it cheese strategy.
sitting in a corner with a shotgun incredibly easy to do and it removes all threat from something that would normally otherwise render you dead in a second.
it's like when i danced around a small tiny tree with a chimera, he couldn't hit me at all. <-- this is also cheese, i am abusing an obvious flaw in the A.I to gain the upperhand, not by any skill or meaningful gameplay.
for example, the person i originally responded to boasted about taking them down in 2 seconds using that shotgun strat on the harderst difficulty, while he would die an uncopious amount of times when facing more than 1 doing it through normal means.
