Did they fix A-Life with the big patch?
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a perfect example how it should look like, giving NPC's daily schedules. Stalker 2 promised the same, but I think the devs aren't even capable of integrating something like that.

So do you guys think we will ever get A-Life 2.0? Or are the devs just a bunch of scam artists?

No clown awards for you.

You do know that they're actively working on AI as we speak right? Calling them scammers is just dumb.

It's almost as though they are listening to feedback & putting them in patches.
What clown awards? I just completed a really good game from non-scamming devs. So is it not reasonable to ask this question?

So did the devs promise A-Life 2.0 for this game or not? I'm confused.

That's good to hear. But we all know, that they can't implement A-Life 2.0 afterwards without changing the whole code. They will tweak some things with spawning distance and frequency like the mods do and call it the day.

They also deleted the big announcement on their homepage about A-Life 2.0 shortly before the game was released. How is that not a scam?

Neither. We won't ever get A-Life 2.0 because GSC can't make it happen. A-Life in trilogy was more advanced but it was never AS advanced as some people pretend it is. Stalker Anomaly has the most advanced system but this isn't part of the canon and is just a community project.
Devs are not "scam artists" just because they can't deliver, it's just that GSC bit more than they could chew, and now they're stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to fix the game, please the fans by working on AI, and also having to optimize the mess that UE5 is in general as an engine for this project.

They probably removed it so as it's not working as they intent yet so it would be misinformation. They're not scamming anyone.
I fail to see how daily routines would improve the game. This is not an RPG where NPC interaction is important.

They are anomaly / gamma players, those Modded games brainwashed them so much that they now want those same features in stalker 2

They could have used their frontal lobes and decided NOT to use UE5...they also lost their a-life guy....

You call it brainwashing i call it risen Standards towards paid developers and a studio after players saw what people in their free time can do with a game that runs on a damn old engine for free.

People wanted an upgraded game yet we got a downgraded one.

The Alife and the Immersion were one of the number 1 things that made people come back and made new people to try it out, its one of the main reason the original stalkers literally got a 2nd life suddenly.

yet devs outright ignored it and just made a good looking but somewhat generic Unreal engine open world shooter that we have ALLOT of.
And nothing breaks immersion more then NPCs spawning in your face and back.

And now they trying to fix it and in this speed it will take years or might not even ever happen.
Its sad when random modders do better jobs then a company with a entire dev team.

Good looking is debatable with the amount of smear and ghosting on display, and the weird lack of depth of the environments (mostly in wilderness due to lack of proper vegetation AO, which under UE5 renders a very flat and hard to look image).
Not to mention the asinine lumen implementation with the most noisy and unstable reflections ever seen in a video game. To say nothing of the way they handled asset loading using nanite instead of generating the proper LODs, which amounts to broken structures in the distance failing to load half the time, and trees pop in around every corner.
So no, not even "good looking" by any standard if we want to be serious about technique.

Yup... and i will add it isn't likely they will because that would require rewriting alife from scratch all over again. Alife 2.0 is a scenario spawner...there is an offline component but it doesn't work the same way the old offline worked...Any npc you recently encounter online and then get out of render distance are saved or culled into memory but nothing is actually being simulated on a large scale in the background...it is just saved or frozen in place until you encounter those same npc's..or the rare occasion they move offline and you get in front of the path they are going. So if you sit around in cordon for a week...nothing is actually being simulated in pripyat.....but if you run around cordon some of the npc's will spawn around you then become persistent for a limited time and sometimes will move around the map alittle...and with that they have a limited offline persistence ...the old system (after being modded) had npc all over all maps being simulated in offline mode moving and simulated battles...the difference is night and day...it was so fun and immersive knowing monolith or mutants might be overpowering other factions and making their way down to cordon....and when you did encounter that monolith squad you know it spawned in pripyat and actually fought and moved down to cordon...it was a simple but AUTHENTIC simulation!!! It's ok if gsc couldn't deliver us something as good or better then the original system but they should done the right thing and been honest and transparent. There are example of game's still going through significant changes and even having new systems implemented well past their launch date but not sure if this will happen with gsc...I think they are going to tweak cfg's and stick with new system they created....

This game is really not worth spending any money on , It's from a bunch of unknown Devs which put together a few lines of shoddy code on Unreal Engine and called it a day , They are not even remotely capable as KCD2 devs which have their own proprietary engine and I promise you all these issues with Stalker 2 will not be fixed any time soon.

Not that stalker 2 has it...does KCD2 have persistent npc's, that move around the map? I've heard about how the world of KCD2 provides some emergent gameplay moments. Going back to anomaly to experience peak a-life. Until some other game comes out that can provide that kind of sandbox...

To be honest outside of some sandboxy Indie games no other games give similar things.

Its like AA and AAA companies with their billions are afraid to make a game where there is any kind of real persistent simulation to the overal world.
