Farming for Liquid Rock artifact

I am farming for liquid rock artifact I’ve been trying for about 2 hours and all I get are a bunch of different ones but not Liquid rock

I am trying to save scum it at the poisonous hole

Does game progression affect this?

My next main story mission is “chasing ghosts”

If story does effect its spawn then am I far enough into the story for it to spawn? Thanks

In a sense game progression does influence this. For the very rare artifacts you require the best possible detector and even then in vanilla you have to nearly stand on top of it before it finally shows. Try to install a mod that makes it easier.
