I wish that I was able to get 5080 fe, but I was unable to through Best Buy site after waiting on the online queue a few times because the site would error out or say out of stock. It really sucks just like my life has been.
No... This is not true.
The devs can indeed update the game again and add-in the new DLL's plus add further optimization.
However, any game that supports or I should say currently uses DLSS3 for either RR, Upscaler or FrameGen, can also supports DLSS4 (RR, Framegen, or Upscaler by way of simply replacing DLL files.
Today, you can GRAB DLSS4 DLL's 1x for Framegen, and 1x for Upscaler and replace existing DLSS 3.x items in installation folder.
You can copy the DLSS4 items from existing CyberPunk 2077 installer on your PC, or grab these DLL's from TechPowerUp, or REDDIT.
Once you overwrite the original DLSS and DLSSG .dll files, you will need to FORCE preset J via NVinspector for Stalker 2 profile.
That's it.
Always make sure your drivers are up to date so as to mitigate issues arising down the line.
Your life doesn't suck. Some point in time, someone will really need you, and you'll be there to pick up the pieces for them.
Or if your lazy like me can click drivers then top right in nvidia app and select studio drivers.
What GPU are u currently using? Maybe I can help make sure you got the right one?
Alternatively; Check your system information, (or if you're like me, cross-reference it with your GPU product box for more information on your GPU).
Then, check you submitted the correct information for your GPU and your operating system (win 10, 11 etc).
If you're not sure you d/l the right driver update, you can uninstall the driver update you just installed, then:
Try downloading the driver update again, having checked it's the right one. It might be unlikely that you got something wrong, but it is better to be sure. Once you have eliminated that avenue of inquiry, you will know that it's nothing to do with making a mistake.
Another thing you can do is verify your game files. Although it is unlikely necessary, at least you will then know that it's nothing to do with your game installation, and you can proceed through the checklist of trouble-shooting other possibilities.
Restart your computer after installing the update. Check you have the latest update of windows.
It may be worth clearing your shader cache registry. Here's help on that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDcvc43yzG0
Go to manage 3D settings (top left). In global settings tab, (the main window that is shown), scroll down to 'shader cache size'. Set it to a higher value, or if confident, to 'unlimited'. Click 'apply', then Ok. When finished, close control panel and RESTART COMPUTER.
The more things you try, the closer you will get to narrowing down the issue.
DLSS is much cheaper and more crisp now. Noticing less blur and bleed in, rain on shinier weapons no longer have visual bugs in DLSS.
FG3.1 now works for me, before it would do little other than add much input lag.
I've been able to crank some settings higher, or up the resolution too.
This is what it was like 25 years ago when you updated drivers.
