Just pick a graphics preset that plays reasonably and tweak the settings that are identified in the Menu as affecting performance - Textures - Effects - Post Processing - Anti Aliasing - Global Illumination - Reflections - Shadow Quality - Environment Draw Distance
The default is nonsense. I have a RTX 4070 and an old RTX 2070 that I tried and if I select default it switches everything to Epic for both cards ... so the game doesnt recognize your hardware and offer sensible guidance and the same goes for the Nvidia App - it does jack ****.
At 2K I used the HIGH preset with my RTX4070 and thats fine. With the RTX 2070 I use MEDIUM and drop Global Illumination to LOW. I get mid 40s out and about and 35-40 around Rostok. Its playable. I tried using FSR frame generation and got higher FPS but the input lag was horrible
