Lishchyna Facility extra key?

Upon unlocking the door to the exit to the Lishchyna Facility I found that I had an extra key in my inventory. It's treated as a quest item and cannot be dropped. It's named "Key" with the description "A fairly modern key. Probably for a door or a decent padlock."

Does anyone have any idea what this key is for? I swept the area to look for locked doors and couldn't find anything. I looked through some online videos to find other people had the same issue in the comments with no solutions offered.

Could this just be a bug in removing the exit door key from the inventory on its last use? It doesn't have any weight so it being there isn't a huge problem beyond OCD, but if it has a use I'd like to know.

I have the same key. I found the key and didn’t go inside. Came back a few hours later and cleared it out but still have the quest marker key.

Actually I have 2 quest marked keys that I don’t know what to do with

Seems fairly common. I have 2 single keys (pretty sure one is the key the OP mentions) and 1 bunch of keys all quest-locked in my backpack.
