S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Still Waiting for DLSS 4.0 While Cyberpunk 2077 Gets It… What’s Going On?
Yo @GSCGameWorld, what’s the deal? Cyberpunk 2077 just dropped DLLS 4.0 today, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is still waiting in the stone age. When are we getting that next-gen glow-up? Or are we just gonna watch CP77 leave us in the dust?:Uranium:

It's now been over a month since their last patch. That might not be so bad had they actually told us what's going on and set some expectation of when a patch is coming.

Communication increases patience and understanding.

I think the problem is/was with raising the bar with the statement "expect frequent patches in the beginning". Most of the players (including myself) thought that the beginning means the first 3-4 months not the first 1-2 weeks.
Instead the patching of STALKER 2 is standard BAU patching just like any other game.
And yes patches that fix what the patch released hours ago broke is not something a player should count as a "wow new patch great". (Which STALKER 2 had many)

Even for the latest version of the engine, Nvidia has not provided DLSS.
It depends on how quickly Nvidia will provide access to developers.
The Poles apparently contribute money separately for their engine support.
It’s not like Cyberpunk 2077 a perfect game when it came out, and that took forever to get where it is currently and it still isn’t perfect.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an old game now, but if you like it that much then go play it.
So get out of here Stalker.

Hey, you can use DLSS4 dll already with STALKER 2. You just have to install it manually.

Can you confirm the Ghosting is minimized/nearly resolved when you replaced DLSS4 DLL?

You grabbed from TechPower UP? Or Did ya grab it from your CyberPunk 2077 Steam\common folder?

They do communicate... but if you expect them to post everything here, just so they can get flamed, your wrong.
You can follow them in various places online.
So far they hope the new update/patch is ready the 30th, if not they probably release a hotfix for the game breaking bugs.

THERE ARE SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS GAME!

Ok, game just crashed twice this morning. Something about shaders not compiling? YOOOOOO What gives?

Yes I can confirm it, at least if my eyes dont decieve me. Even DLSS4 performance looks good now, on par or even better than DLSS3 quality.
I grabbed it from subreddit for stalker2/2077, cant remember now. Plus I used guide to force DLSS preset J from stalker 2 subreddit.

OK, very good. I can at least sift through the Stalker subreddit for further details.

Separate issue.

Intel or AMD cpu? Are you OC'ed on CPU at all from either vendor?

Any memory OC? XMP (Intel) or EXPO (AMD)?

Shader crashing is nearly always purely a CPU / RAM, (not VRAM,) issue.

Where am I supposed to check? The forum on their website? There isn't one.
Their Reddit? Last post from GSC that I can find it 2 months ago.
Their Twitter? Last update there was December 30th.

If you're referencing a random user saying they expected an update by December 30th, or another random Steam user saying they expect it by December 30th as Stalker 2 is supposed to have day one DLSS4 and that's the day the new Nvidia GPU launches, then no that's not an update from GSC.

So unless you've got a link to a statement from GSC then I'm going to assume you're making it up and don't know what you're talking about.

This game has been defended more than enough. They should be doing considerably better with communication.

You can update it yourself to the versions prior to 4.0. Also, CP2077 is the only game allowed to use it prior to the 50XX series launch.

No, not in any official capacity to the MASS audience.

This btw should encompass STEAM, XBOX, and PC Gamepass users. Not just weirdo redditors with special contacts on their Dev team, or special individuals whom know someone with access to their curated discord etc.

I see Urkainian youtube streams had info too, but that's a subset of people, again, segregated communication.

This isn't good and feels crappy, hence this conversation we are all having.

Yes they do, on their discord. They're also one of the only developers that have ever responded to my email questions.

Where's the update from GSC?
That's not it.

I specifically addressed this.
