Is the "Drowned" the best AK74 variant?

Yeah, it's the best AKM-74S. It's also got a bug/feature that its stats don't degrade with durability too.

According to spreadsheet, it has the same stats as default AK74-S, except with scope, mag and grenade launcher attached.
The one you get for siding with Korchunov beats it in durablilty, but just a little.

The durability on Drowned doesn't matter though because Drowned can't break, and its stats don't get lower when the durability goes down.

However, other sources I've looked at say that Drowned has a higher damage than Combatant and others. I've been going by this site...

...but I've noticed that some of the other information there is wrong. For example, they say you can pick up a Rhino and Ram-2 from a corpse in the chasm, but I got a Rhino and Kharod from it. So, they could be wrong about the Drowned having higher damage too.

in AK family i think strelok AK is the best, you can get it from agroprom underground

Yea, I believe Strelok's AK is better.

Honestly, these weapons are terrible, hehe.

I feel so bad taking DROWNED from the guy in Slag-Heap, never used it once because I thought I could never find a grenade-launcher for AK, but there IS a vendor that sells the Underbarrel for AK's...

I like the Combatant more and I use it mostly as a sniper rifle single fire, and then as a full auto assault rifle if needed. The Combatant is a great early/mid game weapon.

Dnipro is the best assault rifle if you ask me, weapons with grenade launcher atachments are useless as it takes to long to swith between granade and rifle mode imo.
I am ok with the Reloading, but most of these underbarrel grenadelaunchers got there own trigger, so i think they should have created a seperate key/mouse button option to instandly fire it.
Also dont like the Grom, as in the earlier games the Grenade Launcher Sight flipped up and gave you much better chance of hitting your target.
