About Weird Water (best artifact ?)
Hey loners ! I've been looking all over the net for the Weird Water artifact's stats (the one you can find in the "wandering lights" anomaly) but couldn't find anything more than "it protects somehow a bit from radiation we suppose. Yes, we are gaming journalists !"

So after a few tests with the artefacts I had in hand... well... this is some crazy stuff.

First, it gives 40 more... hum... kilos ? lbs ? whatever counts as your carrying capacity, which is huge !

Second, It protects from radiation MORE than the maximum, let me explain :
An artifact like "Liquid Rock" has radio protection at maximum, which seem to be able to negate 2 medium radioactive artifacts.
Well, with the Weird water, I was able to negate one maximum radioactive artifact (in this case the Compass") and a medium one together.

Those are the more radioactive ones I have for the moment and only 3 slots, so I can't test higher than that, but it's already way more than what the item's description let believe.

As for the description written : "...you might go weak in the knees from time to time.", Not sure if it's just humor or if there's a downside in endurance or something. I'll update if I see anything.

Cheeki Breeki !

Interesting. Stopped chasing the Weird Water after reading how it applies constant drunk state / vodka effect / "night vision" from Wish / party-time on player.

It's -not- an instant and constant effect, then? Hmmmm ...
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
your weight reach 50kg, then youll get the drunk effect

WeirdWater taught me how to be conservative with inventory.

Also, you can save money on leaded-upgrades on gear.

Just buy extra slots (no leaded containers required,) and slap on all of your fav defensive artifacts.

Shooting with drunk-effect is not as bad as it seems. In fact, accuracy isn't really affected at all, but the most annoying part for me anyway is the vibrant HDR-like effect enhanced on my HDR monitor.

Good news is, you get extra weight too, and can haul back tons of gear after completing your adventures to sell back to vendors.

Its really a WinWin to get your coupons up/hoard money early, mid to late game.

Sob, I see the drunk effect is permanent.
I also think it's still awesome to equip when I want to haul back stuff and have no hercules back. I will keep using the Liquid Rock until I overweight.

Thanks for the advices. I genuinely think this is a very good idea as an artifact.

Weird Water is a super artifact. Always either in my backpack or actively being used.

The drunk effect is not too bad to cope with once you get used to it. And if you make sensible use of temporary stashes like safes and backpacks, you only really need to use it when you are returning to a base to sell loot.

And all that's not even considering the OP anti-radiation effect it currently has.

Also thanks from here - never considered using it like people suggest, for hauling stuff back home only ... *slaps self* An almost constant learning curve with this game, and I'm really loving it.
I barely even notice a difference when the drunk effect kicks in, in fact I think it actually makes it easier to see

For me is the best i hope they don't nerf it

I've been posting this link around a lot latelly and it has been circling around since last year, you'd think all it contains would be pretty common knowledge by now regardless but seems not.

There's an artifact tab in that spreadsheet, weird water is at the very bottom, line 86.

Just have to embrace your inner Jackie Chan and go Drunken Master with firearms.

After more and more hours playing, this is definitely the best artifact in the game.
Anti radiation is indeed OP, drunk effect is easy to get used to and with the cost of repairs later game, it's either hauling stuff using it or installing mods
