I've already done some main missions in Garbage, such as going for Nestor lab ecc. So, it's best to wait?
Yes. Best to wait.
ook, thanks
Yes there are bugs but reading this forum has alerted me to them and I just avoid where the bug is UNLESS it is a part of the main mission, which I haven't had happen. Like the Rostok inventory bug.
In addition, you could go southeast and explore Cordon, that is another generally chill location with a few twists here and there. Less artifacts (only 2 respawning locations), but another handy village with trader, technician, guide, and nostalgia factor over 9000. No main story related interactions AFAIK.
TLDR you can play some routine runs and farm some resources even without progressing through the main story.
You know the main questline takes players to Rostok.
This is what I have been doing. Exploring the map.
They assume the player will recognize the difference between a feature that needs to be moved forward by the main story or a genuine bug.
You already bought the game. If all you care about is the story, there is no reason to be afraid of bugs. Just save before every mission and reload if something is broken. But make a proper save and not a quicksave. Quicksaves are much more limited and get overwritten after the third or fourth quicksave I think.
I have found that, on the two occasions that I need to meet up with Richter, both times so far the game has bugged out. Without a previous save, I would have lost my ability to continue.
Save in Garbage when you conclude the bandit mission and you see Ward helicopters coming to the base there. You'll need to meet up with Richter after a chat with The Ward.... lots of folk have this bugging out.
In conclusion, there are a couple of places in the game like this. This forum can be very helpful so shout out if you need help.
