Graphics help please
So, I'm playing the game with pc game pass (sorry for any anti-microsoft people in here).

I have a 3090, I9-10900k, 32 GB DDR4 and installed on a SSD.
4K, forget it, I know. Playing at 1440p.

Have the game at medium settings and still my eyes are hurting from playing the game. Have even tried 1080p and the problems remains. Turning the camera is a eyesore. Stutering all the time.

I've seen some vidoes on Youtube and there are people stating that are playing with a 3090 and their image is crisp and the game flows great. They are lying or is it that my pc is outdated?

Do you guys know if it's my setup that doesn't have what it takes? I'm getting old so I'm even starting to blame my eyes...

Is there anything I'm doing wrong with the graphics configuration?

I want to enjoy the game but it's impossible...

Thanks for any feedback

I first was playing this on a gaming laptop i-7 and RTX 2070, and weirdly found that I got better performance turning somethings up instead of down.

The biggest killers for me were Hair, Shader Quality, and Foliage.

Granted I was satisfied with a smooth steady 60 fps so maybe there's a silver lining to these aging eyes.

Shadows should be higher or epic as they're horrid otherwise.

Frame generation is pretty much mandatory I'm guessing.
Your system is more than enough for comfortable gaming. I have a 5600G, 32Gb DDR4, 3060 and I play at 1080 very good in mid-quality. I think you may have problems with the VGA driver or something

Yeah, getting desperate changing configurations in game. Maybe I can try what you sugest.

DLSS is on on ultra performance. I don't even try the quality option afraid of getting the game even slower

Yesterday I've resintalled the driver (clean install) in an attempt to fix the issue. No luck :(

I really don't understand what is wrong

put everything on Epic except for Hair (Low or Medium), Global Illumination (High), Shading (Medium), Foliage (try different settings and see how much pop-in you can tolerate). set antialiasing to TSR, turn off frame generation. also, I recommend using this mod:

you'll get a few extra frames.

Thanks. I will try your recomendations

My guess is you suffer from Texture Noise, like many did. Activate DLSS+DLAA in the Settings. This should make the Noise go away and you should have crystal cleat visuals.

I'm playing with no game braking issues or major stuttering but only when *disconnected
from internet*(disabled network adapter) putting Steam offline while connected online
didn't help. Won't hurt to try this. Game updated to Patch 1.0.3
DLSS will make things blurry especially with 1080p. And motion ghosting.
With that card put DLAA on and add some sharpness to maybe 25. If need more fps, try fsr3. It works better on this game.
You should be fine with everything on High/Ultra with DLSS on Quality or Balanced.
Also check out this mod, easy +10-15 fps without any quality sacrifice (Base version)

Also stutterwise its always good to look at vsync on or off and monitor refresh and fixed fps. This interelation between monitor refresh rate, attainable constant fps, and locking the fps at a specific number is worth persevering with when you are getting stutters as sometimes you can completely eliminate them with a bit of mucking around.

Yup. The frametime fluctuations will cause many of the stutters

As Benchmark youtubers have proven time and time again, this game is VERY poorly optimized, period. It needs alot of work, they are relying 100% on AI tech for this game, so if you cant use FG, you are gonna struggle.

Im on a Rog Strix 4080 OC and i play with FG off, simply because the delay is noticable. Im pushing 70-100fps, depending on the amount of NPC's in my view. I use DLAA as i cant stand the look of upscaling, and i refuse to have to rely on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ upscaling bs, optimize the game instead.

Now, Horizon Forbidden West...a game that looks WAY better, i have locked 144fps, never goes below that. It has more NPC's in towns, crazy detailed enemies and effects, and basicly every leaf moves in the wind.

5 NPC's in STALKER 2, boom, shave off 30fps.
Also consider this tip: if you have a mouse that has adjustable DPI, turn down STALKER 2's in-game mouse sensitivity to zero (yes, zero, or maybe 1) then compensate by increasing your mouse's DPI.

This alone can also help to reduce the ridiculous stuttering this game suffers from.

Ultra performance means less quality, balanced might be a better option for you.
