Is it optimized for gtx 1650?

No, it is not optimized for anyone right now. You might still be able to play. Make sure you have a large shader cache on your drive.

If you haven't played it already you should play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly until you're ready to struggle with the issues in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. It is a free-to-play, highly developed and highly awarded version of the first series.

A 1650 is slightly below the minimum specs of a 1060. If the 1650 only has 4GB of VRAM then you are probably screwed. The 1060 has 6GB of VRAM.

There's an optimization tweaks mod that has helped a lot of folks out lately... but I do wonder if the people complaining about crashes are maybe using that unofficial, unsupported mod because its got a ton of downloads from Nexus.

this is what happens when a company lets random people use their engine and assets – they get screwed for being nice.

Please explain how the popularity of anomaly mod has *screwed* GSC. If it wasn't for the core fans + the fans who also appreciate anomaly the stalker series would be a virtually unknown and releasing stalker 2 in this state would of meant failure. Anomaly helped popularize stalker and keep it going long before stalker 2. What is wrong with suggesting somebody play through anomaly while waiting for GSC to finish stalker 2? unless of course you are of the opinion that stalker 2 is finished. I wonder honestly if you work for GSC at this rate.

You can run it on a GTX 1650 if you make sure FSR3 Framegen and Nvidia Reflex is turned on

It has 4GB VRAM. This Card is obsolete for Gaming. There will be no optimization whatsoever.

1650 will run GAMMA Anomaly witch is heavily modded Anomaly and probably best Stalker game in 1080p 30fps and you can make it VERY playable 60fps with Losless Sclaling FG. Maybe just maybe you will have to drop it to 900p30+LSFG. Seriously get it if you feel stalkery

Second play through. 1st had issues but only 1 crash. 2nd one crash and am entering the endgame today. Then I shall shelve the game for about three or four updates and see where it is. I do not use mods at all and run a 3060Ti at high to med settings and the game looks great and runs pretty good.

Not bragging or looking down my nose, just one of the lucky ones?

GAMMA/Anomaly are not S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, they're freeplay sandbox mods (i.e. "no plot") with maps taken from the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
