Late game constant effing rain, a bug? or deliberate?

I'm at the late game stage, just before the point of no return, and the weather is constant rain, mist and misery. Is this a bug or a deliberate intention by the devs? I want to explore prypiat with the sun on my back, not drudge through it with no chance of finding the colour left behind.

Its the same everywhere though, no matter how much credits I waste on travel, every place its raining and misty. Day or night, rain and misty. Tried sleeping every day and still the same. Hiking from one (any) base to another and its still fecking raining and misty. Get enough of this weather where I live.

I like the rain cause it makes the graphics look better, shiny surface across everything, I don't mind it

Yeah, me too. But the variable weather, transitions, is much better. Beginning to think I brought it on myself, offended the zone somehow. Its fevking raining still, as I type this.

Update. Still raining, at all locations, day or night. No emissions either, something I hadn't noticed. None at all, over many days and nights. Emissions are fundamental to the game, and there are none. Not that the easy peasy way to survive one was a challenge anyway. But I miss them. So its likely a bug that they need to address.

It's a bug, there is few topics here about that already. Happens when you talk to Spirit about way into Pripyat in the tunnel next to Limansk. I have never seen Pripyat in sunny weather :-/ Tried multiple playthroughs, always happened to me.

The developers have confirmed they are working to resolve this weather bug.

Ah. That's good to know. I finished the main mission recently, without exploring pripyat at all. I've restarted and am.going to play as a tourist this time. Sightseeing is my goal, surviving is a means to an end.
