Is the game everything you were looking for in a STALKER game?

Overall, yes.
But it lacks some features I'd like to see(Finished A-Life, NVG, Binoculars, Radio in PDA would be great as well) and needs some balancing tweaks, which isn't too bad, because it can and will be fixed. Foundation is very strong.
Besides that it's pretty much a perfect STALKER game for me.

I'm in the process playing them all. Once I started Stalker 2 I find it hard to play the earlier versions.

It’s very much the original games but bigger and better looking, and after 15+ years, I don’t think that cuts the mustard anymore. There’s incredible potential in Stalker 2, but the game will never reach it without expanding on this old design.

I'd want more faction vs faction stuff, but generally yes. I played all three prior to death and I am already on my third run for this one.

My money says the first or second DLC will be faction wars.

It's getting there. Some features we had in the original trilogy would be very welcome. Encyclopedia, Stalker rankings, lootable mutants, binoculars and a few other features would be extremely welcome.

Oh, and release an SDK, please. I am seriously anticipating what the community will do once modding is fully opened up for this game.
