As an owner of both i would say get both. Doesn't have to be right away, wait until a sale. Especially for Stalker to wait for hopefully more fixes and performance optimisations if they can be done. Stalker 2 is the worse performing game.

Not had one single crash so far in either game and they run fine for me with a decent PC. KCD2 is by far the better game of the 2 overall imo. KCD2 is one of the best games i have played in recent memory.

More bug/glitch free from launch/at the moment = KCD2 (easily).

More fun is a harder choice. I like both games, but I think S2 might win out over the long term for me (provided it receives a good few more improvement patches).

Also, KCD2 looks amazing, STALKER 2 looks really good, sometimes. They should've went with CryEngine instead of this UE5 garbage.

KCD2 and it's not even close. This game is on life support and afaik the mod scene is struggling with no proper toolkit. KCD2 is dropping mod support tools in a week, along with new content, so the mods will go crazy while the devs fix the bugs.

depends on your GPU to be honest. I had a 3080 didnt really run it like i would like didnt play it, i just got a 9070xt runs it great now im enjoying the game. I would say if your GPU can handle it get stalker.

STALKER is more fun for me. But KCD2 is a very polished game, although it has bugs they are not important and it works very well in my PC. I haven't had a single crash or irregular performance in 135 hours. In STALKER I had a memory leak every two hours and quite a few crashes, this was improved after the last patch, but the difference in polish with KCD2 at launch and in the first 3 months is huge.

KCD2 at launch is the most polished open world RPG game I have played in many many years.

In Stalker 2 you aren't able to flirt with or romance the bold, bald, yet very sexy Colonel Korshunov. Due to that baffling oversight KCD2 is more your kind of game.

My 4070 runs KCD2 at a smooth 120fps on max settings. It ran this game at about 30fps on medium settings. I would get KCD2 and work on setting up anomoly:Gamma, which is free. This game is extremely rough to the point where I refunded it. I would give it a few years and see how it goes, unless you have a monster PC with dual 4080's or something like that.

This game is still alpha state even after the patches it's still full of visual glitches absolute dog s#it perfomance i just can't play it at this state so yes i would say kcd2 at least it run great
