Gravitational anomaly causes crashes
Up until now, I didn't really have any problems with them but for some reason now, if I get caught in the effect. Fairly frequently it will cause the game to freeze. Anyone else? I tried to play around with graphics settings to see if I can make it more stable but nothing.

I played with the same settings for 100 hours and now it's unstable. Kind of annoying, I am not afraid of the damage but how there's a good chance I have to kill the app if I run into them now.

Yes, I have begun to have exactly the same issue. I'm not sure whether it started immediately after patch 1.0.3 or not, but I definitely hadn't had it previously.

I haven't tried fiddling with the graphics settings as I have otherwise had the game playing nicely (by which I mean, good frame rates, but noticeable graphical abnormalities which have been discussed to death elsewhere) with very few issues (occasional crash with report either during shader rendering, or during first load of a save game after starting the game).

I run a 13900k, RTX4080 and 32gb of DDR5. No overclocking or undervolting set beyond BIOS defaults and a standard XMP profile. I have no mods running on the game.

The crashing in the gravitational anomalies is the first thing that's really spoiled my enjoyment of the game as it's made artifact hunting frustrating to the point of being unplayable.

this has been happening to me as well, but only certain gravity anomalies and not all of them.

I've decided to set the game aside for now and play something else. Crashing that frequently and then having to wait for the shaders to load just saps away the fun.

My rig shouldn't have any problems with running the game either.

I had a similar problem when placing the scanners down... every time I placed a scanner down the game crashed with an nvidia error, I updated the drivers and now it doesn't crash anymore

Okay so from what I've been seeing these anomalies in the underground sections of the game if you run into them it'll freeze the game completely. It causes the screen to go white and the game eats up all your ram, at one point stalker was using 21gb of ram when this happened. So yeah don't walk into those anomalies in the underground stages (the transparent floating spheres that suck you in).
