SPOILER (Strider & Regenerator)

So, I picked up the Regenerator for Strider, avoided killing all the Monolithians and then when I get back, Strider is forcibly killed in a cutscene by Doctor?

Did I not install the Regenerator or miss something? I just escaped the Ward's imprisonment and saw the Regenerator was forcibly removed from my inventory, i.e. "Regenerator LOST"

It's actually meant to happen. Yes, Strider's fate was sealed from the beginning of the game.

As odd as it sounds, you do speak to him again. The story has some crazy reveals as you get closer to the end.

Damn, yeah I've spoken to Strider again, sucks. I thought he'd live... I thought a lot of characters would live.

This also happened to me too. Found it odd.

Same line here but i still have the device in my inventory. Is that another dead inventory item like bubbs pda or does it disappear at some time ?

I found that particular situation strange as well. When experiencing it the first time, I really thought Strider can be saved - given all the zone-magic going on...

Btw - In my non-Ward playthrough the regenerator wasn't removed. I was stuck with it for quite some time (luckily it only weighs half a kilogram... )

I thought there was a way to save Strider too.. I played all the 4 possible outcomes, and apparently there is not, Strider is just meant to die like another character in Cyberpunk 2077... actually... a few.
