Need to go to Rostok to sell broken weapons, and even then it aint worth hauling them around for that pittance.
Lens can fix them (the repair/upgrade guy in the next building) but it's not worth it for the money. There is only 1 trader that accepts broken stuff but that is after mid-game. Best you can do with looting these weapons is just unload the ammo and put the broken weapon on a dead body so it despawns.
It is possible but not worth it. The costs are higher than what you get back from selling. Just stash them and sell them in Rostok. I did so with every red weapon from the lesser zone and got a nice starting budget that way.
He can visit the trader righ after leaving the first zone so it is not "after mid-game".
I meant storywise region exploration, you have no business there if you're just playing the game as intended.
