Armor repair info
Hey guys

Do we have any info on which armor is costlier/cheaper to repair? Maybe a tier list? I want to know if I should stick with A or B armor (for example Eva suit or SSP-99 Ecologist)

I have reached a phase of the game were I can spent 20/30 thousands to repair my armor, especially heavy armor, so I think I need to swap armors from main mission to artifact collecting, obviously I better not chose and armor that will eat my profit away once I head back home from an artifact run outside

Repair costs of any item, weapon or armor, are tied to its base price without any upgrades. So, if an armor value in your inventory as you check it is higher than the one you are using, its repair costs will also be higher.

Once you get past mid-game and start using full-body suits of armor, the repairs will get expensive. You should expect your armor to cost 6k-10k per 10% of durability lost. You should prioritize repairs in bases where you are friendly with their faction, vendor or technicians icons on minimap are green, as this reduce cost repairs around 25%. You should also repair your gear whenever you can and avoid getting your gear damaged too much. There are reports suggesting it costs more to repair 40% durability at once (your gear will get yellow tear icon) than to repair 4x 10% as you go. I was not able to confirm this but I always repair my gear whenever I'm at friendly base.

Upgrading gear now does not affect repair prices, one thing that GSC patched in early and helps with the economy woes. Situation is till not ideal but if you sell valuable weapons and have few artifacts to help with your weight limit, you should be able to get by.

I'm near the end of the game and I have 1m+ coupons and stash full of ammo, medical supplies, weapons and armors. Im still using my first full-body armor suite, Corundum, and I'm quite happy with it even if the repairs are costly. Next upgrade for me would be exoskeletons but you need blueprints for those to be good and their repair costs are even higher.

is this really true?
I think upgrading does affect repair cost, repair cost is tied to current item price, not base price
in the patches they reduced repair costs in general
I usually don't advice adding useless upgrades to not bump repair cost

Repair costs at green/friendly technicians are apparently 25% less.

I just tested with Glutton (RPM-74 unique variant):

Base cost: 75000
After adding few upgrades: 110875 (+47.8%)

Base repair cost per percent: 315
Upgraded cost per percent: 352.67 (+12.0%)
