Invisible item(s) and empty spaces in inventory?

Anyone notice empty places in between items in your inventory even after doing the auto sort?
I say this because I noticed after doing the auto sort thing a couple of times, and moving items manually to random places and in the places that seemed empty a Sunrise Suit appeared that I never looted.
Could this be causing the crashing when I go to my inventory and go to/select any ammo?

*edit... No I don't have the the mutant loot mod.

Do you have the mutant loot mod? It breaks when the game gets patched and the mutant loot turns invisible and crashes your game.

No! I am tired of seeing that every time. That isn't my issue.

Calm down, it has far and away been the most common cause for this when people have posted about it, I was genuinely trying to help.
