3rd weapon slot its PP Bizon, red dot, silencer, high cap mag makes it 65 ammo plus high pen, making it end game weapon, great for CQB, even better than shotguns
4th sniper slot, mid game i use Cluster ♥♥♥ , built it sniper scope and silencer + high cap mag making it 50 ammo, great semi auto sniper
for late game i swapped it for SVU for better DMG
Holemaker is quite effective as for underbarrel and i like it a lot, Rifle itself good for high hp targets like Chimeras/Pseudo Giants, Kharod good to deal with groups of moving targets, plus underbarrel is effective versus large crowds.
Alternatively, i like Lullaby + Veteran + Model Competitor just because i like that kind of gameplay. Despite it looks weaker than the setup above, in most cases you barely will feel the difference just because all three guns with all upgrades are very accurate, so its much easier to land headshots. Veteran with extended magazine is very good for covering long-mid range plus it can be used as assault rifle as well if needed, Lullaby is better at mid-close range versus most of targets, and Rhino is for tough enemies and it also works quite well at mid-close range, plus if you don't mind to carry extra ammo, you have Skifs Pistol for situations where using Rhino would be an overkill. If needed, you can add Sledgehammer with reduced weight upgrades, which is one of the most lightweight shotguns and it will take like 2 extra kg including ammo. Only issue is inventory management, but overall its not a big deal.
Of course all weapons can be replaced by non unique counterparts and there is little to no difference between those.
As for armour, PSZ-5D Universal Protection just because of its mobility, just because so far its only armour that offers +10% stamina regen that can't be covered by artifacts, and thats actually a lot. You running way much longer with this armour just because it very quickly regens stamina, so its just slightly worse than if youd constantly used energy drinks.
Its very niche armour, but for some reason i like it much more than stronger armours.
Setup like Compass + Wierd Water + Thunderberry + Wierd Ball is usually enough for most of the encounters, so having 4 artifact slots and lower protection is usually not a big deal plus assuming that you will be able to carry a lot, you can easily add up more artifacts for specific situations to replace Thunderberry or Compass.
Later on: Glutton+RPG7 or Mag-fed M860+Gauss
The PKM is a viable assault weapon as it's fairly accurate with potshots, plus it doesn't share ammo type with other firearms. The RPG for the rare fun stuff, and the other two as their intended role.
oh and If the saiga can do buckshot, then it'd be the BiS shotgun for every run.
I do like the Vector mid to late game for its high rate of fire and penetration but if I need a bit of range or know I'm going to require a bit more range, I'll swap it for an AK74.
Well... now you know ;)
RAM-2 - I know Saiga-12 has better reloading, but RAM just looks cool AF
Kharod - Best assault rifle ingame. No recoil and very accurate. I use it with 4xAOG Scope
Rhino - Best side-weapon in the game. Kills mutants very fast
Mid-game - GP37 (G36C), Saiga 12K (although I didn't get to upgrade it for a long time), Lynx special sniper rifle.
Late-game - Kharod, Saiga with AP barrel (can still use expansive ammo for monsters), Gauss Rifle.
Plus APSB is literally a pistol slot Buket S-2 cause they have nearly identical stats and share ammo as well.
Another decent option for pistol slot is Gambit being only 9x19 pistol, which is one of the most common ammo types.
2. Dnipro with Acog (mostly semi auto for headshots)
3. Saiga-12
Does this mean the Gambit isn't locked into an ending sequence? Because the description ranting about start of the story/end of the story makes it sound like it is. Where do I get my beloved 9x19 sidearm lifestyle back?
Before or after halfway mark, on that note?
PTM...
and... another PTM; this one an extended mag
GP37 - intergrated scope
AKS74u - has the option for a red dot witch the AKM does not ammo is really common
M680 Cracker - Huge upgrade from the toz for mutant killing
USP 45 - The only reason to use .45 ammo
