XCreateItemInInventoryByID GunD12_MagLarge 0 1 1

This should be the console command for it, the only other way to get it is at the final mission, past the point of no return.

This is the answer.

Wtf? I didn't even know there was a drum mag for the Saiga... why put it at the end of the point of no return??? :((((

They put it at the end because it makes the Saiga really OP. The end game fights are hard so you need it there, but before that it would make the game too easy.

There's an extended magazine for the saiga but it's not a drum. There's an actual drum?

Yes - in the last part of the game past the point-of-no-return. :steambored: (don't get it why someone thought it would be a good idea to hide things there :steamfacepalm:)

I got the large magazine that increases shell count to 12, which is absolute game changer. It makes already great weapon into absolute beast. All I need to find the penetration blueprint...do not spoil please finding these blueprints is the last interesting thing to do at this point in the game for me.
Thanks for your answers. But I don't use any mods, cheats, hacks or anything like this.

Sorry the answer wasn't what you were hoping for.

Do you have the extended mag? It holds 12 or 13 if you reload a second time after chambering a round.

I have everything for the saiga except the drum mag.

If you're like me, reading this to decide whether to wait for the drum mag to be given naturally in the game or to add it via the console: my take is to add it via the console. The game doesn’t give you enough time to fully enjoy it. In fact, it is given to you for a VERY short portion of the endgame.

First of all, some people seem to confuse the extended mag, which has 12 or 13 rounds and can be found during the free-roaming portion of the game, with the drum mag, which has 20 rounds and can only be found in the final portion of the game past the point of no return. Next time I replay, I’ll probably get the extended mag the normal way and then add a drum mag via the console, pretending I found it instead of the extended one—lol.

Another correction: it’s not on a table in x7 as someone mentioned. It is in x7, in a weapons room, but it’s actually on a metal shelving unit (the same one with lots of green ammo boxes and medkit containers). It’s up high on a shelf and attached to a Saiga.

More details:
At least for the Ward ending, I was only able to find one drum mag (and believe me, I looked thoroughly). It appeared after all the boss fights (after Strelok and Scar) and right before the very last fight against ten slightly stronger Monolithians, which Korshunov asks you to kill. However, since it was a medium-distance fight, the drum mag ended up being almost useless in that situation—lol.

Actually, no need to wait till the point-of-no-return mission. I found a Saiga drum stashed away at the westernmost end of the pier in Prypiat's north.

Yeah, it's relatively new. They moved it there with patch 1.3 and the blueprint can also be found near the base in Prypjat now. If only they had moved the one in Duga, too.
