Or wait until you find a vendor that will buy them. Personally I pull the bullets from them and either drop them, or put them back in the inventory of the corpses I took them from.
If you're chasing money, weapons really aren't where it's at.
I second the above - or use mods...
At settlements, there are technicians (show up as a "wrench" icon on the map) and they can repair your weapons/armor. It's a little expensive though,
Stalker 2 leans heavy into that more than ever.
The weakest SMG Viper is worth upgrading a little (go for the +pen for better dog and flesh murder on a budget) because it will still be less expensive to repair than the cheapest assault rifle.
meanwhile, buying every upgrade for the starter assault rifle boosts the value (and repair costs) to the same as the 2nd assault rifle, and it will never be quite as strong (or accurate)* as the 2nd assault rifle is by default, let alone with upgrades.. So ♥♥♥♥ it.
prices get really out of hand for armor repairs too with that scaling.
*For some insane reason, the 2nd assault rifle the 74S is banned from having a sight attachment. Can't even unlock it in the upgrade tree. Probably did it to make the unique named versions that come with a scope built in look impressive.
The snub nosed 74U is allowed to unlock a sight mount, but again is so inaccurate by comparison with upgrades a scope instead of a dot sight will just be a lot of frustration trying to line up headshots on moving targets farther than 50m away. I have had better luck with 74S ironsight squinting in the dark than attachment 74U in the daylight.
Once you have discovered Rostov and the freedom base there, gather your red quality weapons from your personal stash on the base and sell them at ragman's shop and profit.
