Zalissya Defence bug, temporary fix.
I found a temporary fix for Zallissya, follow these steps.

1. Get this mod, it unlocks Console Commands in game, follow the steps to install it.

2. Walk inside the houses in Zallissya and loot corpses, this will trigger a few Monolithians to get outside the townhall and start a fight by the doors, kill them.

3. The doors will unlock and you can go inside "Don't talk to anyone", just to be safe.

4. Stand in the middle of the group of stuck monolith soldiers, Hit F10 and copy paste this code " XKillNPCInRadius 500 -99999999999999999999999999 -1000 " , hit enter and the Monolithians will die, this will unstuck the quest and Gaffer will thank you etc.

The problem here seems to be that the Monolith enemies spawn inside the townhall and bug the quest out. The townhall is a forced safe zone, making you unable to attack them, or they attack you. If you kill them, the quest will unstuck itself.

This appears to be caused by an emission happening after leaving SIRCAA before you get to Zalissya. For me I loaded the auto-save from the end off the SIRCAA mission and ran straight to Zalissya (without an emission happening) and the Monolithians were correctly outside fighting.

Tbh I didn't need to make all of this hassle with UE5 after patch 1.0.3, I just had to enter the bars with the loners corpses and the technician building and the bar, and that got the monolithians out of the locked doors and triggered the fight.

I agree that the quest is completely bugged considering the 80m limit the AI has, but it can be "teased" to make it work without mods, that's what I did ^^^

The problem I'm facing, which I didn't see anybody address, is that when I get the second attack / wave, I'm asked to save the Technician, to find tools for him, but I'm forced to fight off the next attack and that ends the quest, making the Technician die, is there a way to fix that?

Good eye, yeah an emission would make them run inside the building aswell, but Monolith should be immune to emisions, they always were in the old games. The devs should make the monolith immune, that would fix that problem.

Just kill all the monolith with the kill command, saves you time and the quest runs normaly.

That won't work for me! Because the second wave is linked to the end of the quest, for me at least, it made the quest to save the technician "not important" for the game, the Pharmacist that wanted me to help him, was constantly saying to me "go take the tools, they are at the coordinates!!" But the second wave happened and it forced me to fight them off, if I left, I would fail the total quest.

I took the tools for the Technician at the end, but that quest of saving the Technician didn't progress, because it was part of the entire "Save Zalissa" quest, I think I just found another bug in this quest, and it was related to momentum based on when I accepted the quest to save the Technician.

I'm not sure though because I didn't test more than 2 times, I wanna end the other 2 finales, finished the game already 2 times and this quest has been annoying me so much that finally winning without any mods was already a win lmao.

Pretty sure you just need to talk to the medic and go find the tools before you return to the Gaffer for the quest (when he sends you to kill the guy), that's how I did it.

Thats weird, didn't happen for me, i went got the tools and got back, saved the technician, the second wave triggered when i got outside the town.

That didn't happen to me! I thought that was supposed to happen, but to me, instead, doesn't matter the order, I finished the first wave, I asked to save the Technician, had no time at all to leave the village that I was forced into the last fight, I tried going back, doing things differently and dealing with the stucks doors again.. I only tried once, and the things repeated themselves as it did to me, making the "save the thecnician quest" impossible for me.

I figured that was the order I would have to take things, but it just didn't work out for me, I don't know why.

I just did the quest, fortunately it wasn't bugged for me aside warlock that didn't want to talk to me, but I wasn't gonna give him his rifle anyway lol.

I also went straight to Zalyssa after the SIRCAA mission, because I wanted a place to sell things, so that theory about it being bugged after an emission might be correct.

So because my explanation kinda sucks the order of events should be: Defend Zalissya>Gaffer sends you to kill a guy + help Warlock x 2 + help medic/Lens> turn quests in to Warlock and Medic>turn quest in to Gaffer> as you walk out of town Defense #2 triggers> complete Defense #2> meet in the hall for Gaffer's speech.

Edit: Both defenses should have an announcement after they are complete

For me they were in the church and did pop the doors open eventually.
But I did talk to Gaffer, which triggered the PREVIOUS part of the quest (going to Uncle Lionya's). After I did that and returned, the actual attack began

Thanks for posting this. Finally... progress, after 2 days of randomly looting & trying to tease them out of there.

With great frustration, I installed the mod & loaded my save.

After looting around the area for no more than 5 minutes, 3 monolithians appeared outside, I killed 2, 1 disappeared (underneath the map? as could still hear them shooting & making sounds of pain along with their subtitles) then I could walk inside. But Gaffer started speaking to me immediately to start the quest. This point was the furthest I had ever gotten in just over 2 days.
After speaking with Gaffer, I walk around inside, and see there are still around 10 monolithians chilling in there. One was even sat on a chair like they were all best buds & nothing was wrong. Just to be safe I killed them all with the XKillNPCInRadius command.

I did also have an emission happen before heading to Zalissya. After SIRCAA I went straight down to Rookie Village, on the way there I had the emission.

Deleting that mod now. I am kind of expecting more bugs from this quest, but hopefully none as bad as this initial one.
