how does this game have 84% positive reviews?
-terrible performance,
-A-Life 2.0 not working
-insane health of mutants (they adjusted it but its still too much)
-bad economy (they adjusted it)
-no NVG
-no binoculars
-barely any cover to hide in during emissions (atleast in the past game you could hide in a small hole which would count)
-an insane amount of game breaking bugs

im literally softlocked from continuing the main story after 55 hours and currently waiting for a patch to fix it.

while it has its moments here and there with the atmosphere, i am incredibly disappointed as somebody who has been playing stalker games for 14 years. the game should have been in development for atleast another year.

with A-Life 2.0 not working i also dont have any hope for modding in this game, literally the best feature of old games is missing.

thank god i didnt spend full price on it and instead played it on game pass.

Edit: just a little video which fits the topic.

Alternate title for this post:

"I am triggered that I am not enjoying this game but others are, I want everyone to change their minds and think the way I do."

Because it's good.

It sucks that you have technical issues, but obviously not everyone does. I hope patches will fix it.

- Fight experience is good
- There is tons of weapons, armors etc - almost all upgradable (and modders will add more)
- There are fractions that you interact with

Yes - game has bugs - CP2077 had them even more - but i am still playing it, Witcher 3 had bugs - i am still playing it ... there were many games that failed on the start but they had great potential.

Now look at what is being released now: GA:veilguard - click click click fight, characters that you forgot after 5 mins, dialogues that are pain to listen, you have no influence into anything - whatever dialogue option you choose - result is same + famous "hello i am non binary" - sorry but i did not ask - you can really make well made quest with dei characters that you will remember here i can only see "s**t baby inc" .. and honestly speaking i do not even remember this character name as i did all quest just for exp.
SW: Outlaws - 70$ for 18h of game (ok - 22 if you want to do 100%) - stealth system is pain, only one weapon, empty world, dull character - the only thing this game does well is SW - rest is just pain.

Stalker 2 has potential - yes it has issues but it has potential - that is probably why people are playing it and loves it.
I 100%ed Veilguard. It became weird like in last 20% of the game. Its not great, but i'd say playable for 1 playthrough. 6/10. Zero bugs, not bad performance, good map, not 'open world' but enough things to loot and secrets. Disneys fairytale style of the game is the main problem i guess. Atleast you can skip stupid dialogues if you don't like them (nonbinary things for example)
I finished Stalker 2 yesterday. And i'd give it 6/10. Good things are non-linear plot, cool, really cool, cutscenes. And the vibes from previous stalkers, but that's not this game's achievement. Sidequests are soulless. Map is big and too empty for its size. Game lacks of fasttravel options (hello Duga, especially if you're not with Wards). And you can't skip that. Stamina is relic of the past and should be deleted from the game. But stalker should be a real STALKER, even with some ♥♥♥♥ designs, ofcourse. And ofcourse 95% backpacks and secret stashes containing vodka heals and 10 ammo is another great thing that motivates you to loot and explore everything.
Last 30% of the game i was running between quests with cheat engine on x8 speed just to waste a lot less time and do not drink ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ energy drinks.
Easy to find stashes contain ammo and vodka.
If there is any difficulty with finding a stash, or getting to it, it will most likely contain armor or weapon, dropped near the chest.

Veilguard is playable. But its not mass effect, which is really good. And i'd say stalker 2 is same, playable. But its not Call of Pripyat with its cool sidequests and useful PoIs. And its not a Cyberpunk with big openworld map filled with sidequests and activities, and sidequests for almost every main character in the game. Before institute stalker is good. After - too empty.

It's a great game most of the complaints are hardware based.

Yes, the community will swallow everything and forget. Fanatics lick asses until they shine. And from year to year developers will continue to make something that is not optimized, with broken mechanics and false promises. No wonder this years GoTY sucks.

The stupidest argument of all time. I am a consumer, I pay my own money and want to get a normal product, without a 5-6 hour rollback due to a broken quest script.

Okay, you want another solution - I shall give you yet another option: consider your consumer type and don't buy games on release. ALWAYS wait for 5-6 months. I'm dead serious here - it seems you can't stomach problems on launch, so that would be the optimal solution. If you can't change the world, change yourself.

IDK how you can say its terrible performance. I play it on a fking 600 $ rig with all max in 75 locked fps (1080p with DLSS doe). For a game that came like 2 weeks ago its pretty damn good optimized.

Maybe someone is having fun just 100%ing all stashes in the game even if they're mostly containing nothing useful. My problem is when i loot 10 stashes and they all contain vodka ammo and heals i ask yourself why the hell i'm wasting time on these useless things.
Alright, imagine you find a pda with a stash info. "Scientists pda" "Dropped all my meds cause of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dogs, need to take them later". You come, there are 7 yellow heals. Something else related to this context. "Bandits pda" "Found dead soldier with a box full of grenades, stashed a couple lalala". You come, there are 6 F1 grenades.
Maybe not great examples, but that i mean, some context, some items related to context. Some motivation to go there and loot it. Not just "generate container with x items of y value". Idk, how many stashes in the game? More than 100 for sure. How many of them not containing generic vodka ammo food heals? I know 2 with context from bandit leaders.
And locked doors. I found locked door. Jumping around, looking how to open it, break plank or something else. Found, opened, came in. There is a safe containg vodka ammo heals and 40 piercing ammo. Wow, exciting.
In metro exodus every PoI had something useful. Gun, or attachment to gun, or even mats, they also were useful
