Bug with Partner rifle
So I finally ran into a bug on my new play through. I decided not to give Warlock his rifle back ( says its optional ) when saving Zalissya from the Monolith attack by doing all the quests, killing Uncle Lyonya outside his shack, and then talking to Gaffer. I was able to keep the rifle but it is still marked as a quest item and I can't take it out of my inventory now. I didn't notice until after the first assault on Duga. It's a great rifle but if it's stuck in my inventory forever its not worth it - thing weighs like 5kg

With every mission you accept, save before you accept the mission, save before you complete the objective, and save before you turn it in. After you turn it in, check to make sure it didn't bug out in some way, like still listing as active or a blue flag to turn it in or an object in your inventory like that rifle that you can't drop. There are lots of problems with missions, though I haven't heard of that particular issue before it's not surprising. Congrats, your partner is for better or worse till new game do you part.

Perhaps downloading a weight limit mod would be the right solution for you, and you can still basically play the default game if you just increase your weight limit by only the weight of that rifle? Still a bit of an advantage to have an extra sniper rifle in your inventory at all times, but it's a better solution than nothing at all.
Hey! I finally got rid of it. Unequip everything, equip only the partner rifle. Open the console with F10 and type XDisassemblyCurrentWeapon

Got rid of it, as in it is gone? Thats not the reall problem to most, many people want to keep it for them selfs instead of returning it to Warlock.
