Edit: Rarely had the feeling of having not enough money in this game. You find the good stuff while exploring, many times in pristine condition (so no initial repairs necessary).
What empties your pockets are repair costs. But you can at least limit them by not walking into every anomaly on your way and using cover while being in firefights. The Veles detector is helpful, but you will only get it late in the game. So keep your eyes and ears open and don´t run all the time.
I had no problems with "Coupons" on my playtroughs, just use your head, sell what ever you dont need or dont want to keep, and if you find Artifacts save them up for later, so wen you need more money, you can sell some artifacts, and depending on the suit/armor you have you can do the same with the "special" ones later on and make some nice money of those.
And compair what Traders, Barkeepers, and Medics give for items, they all give you difrent amounts.
And the Clusterf#ck weapon is great, its easy to get headshots with it, so you use less ammo to take an enemy down thats a bit further away, for closer combat use a Shotgun, one with a Mag like a upgraded Cracker or a Saiga as there really fast to reload.
Saves you a lot of ammo, and if your a bit carefull and use cover you save a lot more on repairs of your suit.
