This looks like it's near the perimeter of the zone where helicopter patrols might make sense. I doubt we'll be fighting helos.
Also like we've seen helicopters functional all the way up to yantar and they have anomaly maps for the choppers and all the stingrays where equipped with anti emission tech so I don't see how that wouldn't move into the future with stalker 2.
Yet when they evacuated they used choppers with updated maps.
It's also suggested that duga in 2 is still in use and probably is used for anomaly scanning.
So i don't think the anomaly in the sky is a good excuse to not have choppers in this.

The lesson has been learned so i would expect at least some helicopter activity over the zone especially once Scar gets going on his campaign against Circaa and the ward.
Plus its just way to cool when we get chased by one and we need to hide from it before being able to shoot it down.
