You can force the game to super sample at least and remove the god awful TAA through Engine.ini configs

> Edit - Patch 1.04 came out and fixed this issue
imagine yourself trying to make argument based on a bug that was fixed nearly a month ago
Imagine not even reading the entire text that you sent to me because you got super excited when you thought you found a GOTCHA:
>Original Text - Game comes with version 3.5.10 by default, which is not that old version but main issue is that it uses Preset D for Quality, Balanced and Performance mode (Preset B for Ultra Performance) and the result is very heavy ghosting. Same can be fixed by update DLSS to latest version 3.7.20 and then changing preset to E, note that both steps are required, guide given below for both.
TL;DR - Patch 1.04 just updates DLSS from 3.5.10 preset D to 3.7.20 preset E.
Here's DLSS 3.7 preset E running in Starfield which still has heavy smearing when you zoom in:

Native never had smearing. It was never on par with MSAA. Not ever. DLSS was introduced 5 years ago and still can't match the motion clarity of games from the 2000s. Again this is a friendly reminder telling you to get your eyes checked out by an ophthalmologist :)
