More and more I'm starting to believe that the game is not in a state that would be deemed ready for release.

So far it's still only been short clips of gameplay that's been given to the media to show. Short segments and edited bits that they've shown in previews.

0 raw gameplay thus far. The game is about to come out in a little over 3 weeks.

Not showing off your game freely this close to release is a bad sign. Real bad sign. Cause now the marketing machine should be spinning at capacity and yet still, they're basically keeping it all behind closed curtains. Apart from what has been dilligently selected to be shown.

I hope i'm wrong, but it doesn't make any sense and it tells me there's some real big issues still unresolved. Might be performance, general bugs or unfinished content that previewers would stumble on. That's why they're not allowing raw gameplay to be shown.

EDIT: 6 days out and still no raw gameplay. Also no info on when the review embargo is getting lifted.

I've played the other official Stalker games at release and they were rough. That doesn't mean this one will be but after being burned by so many other games I'm waiting reviews and release day comments before buying it. If it turns out the game is a mess at launch I'll give it time to be patched.

I share your skepticism. I'm skeptical because of the levels, some of which seem to be remakes of the old ones, but especially because of the enemy behavior or the "AI", which has little to offer in the gameplay shown. What I also noticed is that it offers little that is new, at least for me. And here is my wish that there are new open world sandbox gameplay mechanics that have found their way into video game history over the last 15 years. For example, setting up your own small base/tent would be a must. Although I don't think that's going to happen, and I think there's generally not much new gameplay coming. It will be like Stalker and probably nothing more. So I'll wait and not pre-order.

Kinda worried too. But I take the risk. I buy a lot early access games, and a lot of them are playable after year or two of patching. Rust, Eco, Empyrion etc. But maybe for price like this it will be playable day 1 or 1-2 hotfix)

Be serious, this was expected lol. I think STALKER 2 will be really good, like Cyberpunk 2077 is, but its release is going to be a dumpster fire. Just like CP77 was. Considering the history of STALKER 2, there is no way its not an unfinished mess.
