The previous games are "good for their time". In the same way that Dark Souls is good, just not as good as Elden Ring kinda thing. They were good for their time.
In stalker, you want to go INTO the zone. Even in the game with the end goal of leaving, 99% is going deeper.
The game is def "hardcore". In the aspect, you will die a lot and you will feel GREAT when you come out on top.
The fanbase also modded lots of Tarkov game mechanics into the previous titles so I'm sure we will see that happen again (see Escape from Pripyat).
When it launched a lot of Stalker heads were emotional over the fact it was pvp, and they weren't comfortable with that.
It's not stalker, but it absolutely does scratch that same itch and appealed to a large number of Stalker fans.
Fair to say if you like Stalker there's a chance that crosses over to Tark and vice versa.
No idea what the multiplayer mode will be, probably a small level PVP thing, hopefully MODS are allowed and we can expand on that.
I do hope its borrowed some ideas from Stalker-Anomaly and isn't super easy. I'll be playing on the hardest mode because I felt the original games were hilariously easy to get through. (anomaly however, not so much)
That being said. They're nothing alike
Not to mention the non official version of tarkov has a huge modding community for Cooperative.
