What it cost in each country is not the important part, when you compare this to the average salary Asian countries cough up the most by far.
400 to 500$ is the average salary here and in europe 10x times that amount atleast. I should know i lived in both places for more than a decade.
I think people here have other priorities than paying 1/4th of their wage for a singleplayer game.
Thank you for your honesty. Since that is why I will buy a steam key on humble bundle for the same price the other europeans pay. I dont like the "rich" tax which is slapped by some publishers on my country while other europeans get treated properly.
True. But you have to understand that a certain pricetag must be remained no matter where it is sold. Atleast on release. People have to earn a certain amount too in order to be able to survive where they work to produce a game.
But in this case the pricing is questionable around the world.
There`s a reason why Valve suggests price for each country,... Do a quick research before state something like this please... For example, we are talking about a DIGITAL product that has NO SHIPPING costs whatsoever for whoever sells the product to the end consumer.
I will wait for Friday 22nd. If the game is as great as it states, it will save me from two sleepless nights on working days. I'll buy the ultimate edition on Friday to thank GSC for opening their XRay engine sources and making such great mods as Anomaly, GAMMA, OGSR, True Stalker, etc., possible. However, if the game is nothing but a marketing overhype, it'll save me 110EUR.
Physical? Why do you use ancient tech?
You still dont get it do you? For some developers due to the high cost of living it is not even worth it to sell a product for a certain amount until its losing its value. With games this happens after release. You can not blame them for that. It is their product, their work and they want to get the most out of it on a global market. If a currency is too weak to even consider selling it as low as this, it is simply not worth it for the vendor to even try to go that low. No matter the regional pricing or the fact that they have no shipping cost (which is not true since Steam is getting a massive cut of the cake with each game sold).
I just think there is a limit on how much you should charge since 132€ just because you believe in a "rich" tax is wrong.
Got them all lying around too somewhere except Pripyat iirc as bought that digitally.
Would be nice eh to have all that swag over the years lol, just looking on ebay only one popped up immediately was Clear Sky's. $330US for the privilege now lol
No one's making you buy the Ultimate edition. If you think the cost of that edition is too much, get the standard edition. I don't usually buy over the Standard Edition, because most of the time the stuff you're paying for is digital add-ons and sometimes it's useless crap like skins.
But for STALKER 2 I went for the Ultimate edition to help support the devs, who've been making this game with a war going on around them. If ever a studio needed some stra support, it's these guys for sure. But if I weren't trying to help them out in this dire timeline in Ukraine, I'd have stuck with the Standard edition.
