this technician cannot install this upgrade
i know that the farther i progress in the game i get to meet a better technician's. and i get more upgrade options, and not to mention the blueprints.
now here's the deal,i'm doing the 100%-90% run in my first playthrough, and i dont know if i'm going to play the game again after i finish it,the reason i say it it's because i'm really tempted to download mod that allows you to upgrade every weapon and unlocks every upgrade...
basically the mod removes every upgrade limitation and allows you to upgrade every weapon without technician rank or blueprint.
should i do it in order to experience every weapon in game to it's fully potential,i'm trying to go for full 100% map clear but i just want to play with every single weapon when its maxed.
i know for sure im not going to play stalker2 for another year or so after i finish my first run.
what do you guys think is it worth it? or the game will become more easy??

Don't ruin the first playthrough with mods.

I have found that the yanik station lets you install the most mods. I believe there are a few items that just cannot be upgraded, such as the white suit armor (survey? the prototype like the grey/blue one). Someone on nexus checked the files and mentioned that those are just *not* capable of being installed at this time. edit: forgot the 'not'.

As to the question, on my new game, I did install the one that allows upgrades without blueprints. I am really enjoying it, however there are a few issues with it. At the time of downloading it, there was not a function to allow technicians to bypass that cannot install part. It could be changed now, and I will download if it is up, but the blueprint mod doesn't do that. Second, it allows you to install the helmet mission item upgrade before you even get the quest. With how buggy this game is, I wonder if installing a mission upgrade before having the quest, would introduce a gamebreaking self inflicted bug later. Just make sure you don't install that upgrade (psi upgrade at top node of helmet).

I do believe it is worth it. It should not effect the game that much, since the upgrades are not 'that' powerful.

It's how the game power caps your equipment. High end equipment requires going deeper into the Zone.

which makes sense, i guess? not a game designer, just a gamer ;)

I wouldn't do it this short off release simply because upcoming patches might break a mod you're using, and then you have to wait on the modder to get their mod updated to match before you can benefit from it again.

It's not really a problem, just be careful of high end mutant spawns. as the truly dangerous mutants can RNG spawn deeper in,

What I did was run from Rostock to the base (train station) that gives access to Pripryat. You can get all the best guns directly from the vendor there and there is a tech who can upgrade nearly everything. There is of course also a guide so it makes it very easy to farm a bit in lower zones then come back through a guide to this base again.

Honestly just stop buying stuff when it comes out. Since about 35 years old, I almost always wait almost a year or two to buy games and get them on sale with all of their DLC included.
