Post SIRCAA, this game sucks!
I've had nothing but high-praise for this game and its atmosphere, that is until I got past SIRCAA.
I have nothing. No ammo, no meds, all of my equipment is broken, yet the game insists on throwing Monolith patrol after Monolith patrol at me, all equipped with high damage gear.
At this point, I'm entirely soft-locked and unable to leave Zalisya let alone even play the game in general without being hunted down.

Not to mention, the Zalisya quest itself is STILL BROKEN and extremely unbalanced. The first wave is no problem, despite getting 4-6 enemies spawned right on top of me multiple times. It's afterwards, as I got spammed with squad after squad trying to go kill Uncle Lyonya. And on top of all that? I'm being chased by two relentless bloodsuckers who are acting like I'm the only food they've seen in months. Additionally, the quest just never ends still. I'm left to either defend the town forever or leave and lose it to Monolith.
I'm just so unbelievably unprepared to deal with the amount of bs that's lazily thrown my way after such a combat-intensive quest.

As a long-time fan of the series, and a major fan of this STALKER 2 (before the SIRCAA questline,) I'm just left in utter astonishment on how this was even okayed before they released the game. It just feels broken and like I wasn't meant to get this far in the game. And honestly, had this game come out in Early Access and locked away everything SIRCAA onwards for future updates, I think I would've been okay with that.

I'm at a loss for how I should even progress at this point, maybe the best option is to just boot up anomaly and forget this game exists until this mess is sorted out.

Skills might be an issue

Theres no difficulty achievement. Drop that down and just accept if the game is going to get that hard that maybe turning it down is more enjoyable.
Equip a high damage rifle (lynx is amazing), hide behind cover, pop them in the head. They go down in 1-2 shots at most.

I actually loved that part of the game because it was tense trying to keep my gear in tip top shape, picking up enemy weapons to not use mine too much,....etc. After this mission it was probably the most I ever spent repairing my gear.

Luckily its pretty easy to get back on your feet in this game by hunting for artifacts and things like that.

Even this bit of advice just proves the OP's point.

Inconvenience is not the same thing as challenge. Openly admitting a sniper rifle headshot still can't reliably kill them highlights that.

I only said 1-2 to not get people on my ass. My sniper rifle 1 shot monolith in the head right up until the very end, where it started taking 2, by which time i got a gauss rifle that one shot them again. Post sirca youll still 1 shot headshot the ones in non exo armour every single time.

If only I could get to my storage box with my Lynx in it. Even if I could though, I have no ammo for that too.

My point is being missed. It's not that the game is too difficult. I've been having a very comfortable time completing this game on Vet, and even swallowed my pride and turned down the difficulty just for this part.
My point is that the bugs surrounding the Zalisya defense and the horrible A-Life system we have rn (on top of just not having anywhere to sell, buy or repair) has soft-locked me completely.

My options to continue are:
1) Sit and Defend Zalisya forever due to it being bugged
2) Give up on Zalisya and let it fall to Monolith (while also getting patrols spawned on me as I try to get away)
or 3) Reload my pre-SIRCAA save and lose hours of progress.
None of these options are reasonable for a full-priced and fully released game.

I sense that the skill might be an issue there

is the problem that you are out of resources right after Sircaa or just the difficulty in general? because when I finished Sircaa I snuck my way around to the Sultansk to resupply and free up space.

you likely just soft gated yourself. let me guess, you tried to just brute force the main quest without doing any exploring and thus getting better gear. You should just restart before SIRCAA, then properly gear yourself before moving past it.

Zalisya isnt bugged btw. its just a part of the quest. Go to the Cordon to do your stuff.

This post reeks unfortunately of "skil issue"
