It has nothing to do with the driver. When you uninstalled previous driver, you cleared old shaders for stalker 2. With new driver you forced the game to remake its shaders, thats why it works smoother.

P.s. deleting Direct X shader cache is not the what games compiler does. Games shader folder is hidden somewhere.

10 fps means nothing
you can go from 20 to 30
or from 110 to 120
percentage is important

Судя по описанию, там ничего полезного для S2

Err, that is wrong. 10 FPS is massive gain in the real world no matter if it is from 20 to 30 or from 100 to 110%. It is massive increase percentage-wise either way, one is 50% and the other is 10.

are you really going to go down this path? drivers dont make games run better? i.e dont contain optimisations

playing on gamepass are we?

Well, they're not entirely wrong. And neither are you.

good god some of the comments here are out there.

the new driver made a massive difference with ~10 fps. that is a HUGE difference. not to mention, yeah, the driver makes a difference itself. anyone saying the contrary has NO CLUE what they're talking about. as is the usual on the internet nowadays.

I haven't (*yet*) been able to trigger the huge FPS drops I was getting before.
Still need to play for longer to be certain.

ironically, i have a bachelor's in programming, software development, and game design. so yeah. been doing this kind of work professionally for over 10 years now

saying a driver doesn't make a difference itself is asinine
