Yes.
Just like they eventually did in No Mans Sky (they added a bunch of "fine-tuning" setting, including how you can save).
That way, those that cannot just RP their game and avoid saving unless at one of those places, can have it "enforced" by the settings they choose.
Meanwhile, I prefer to have the choice.
So add it as a setting - don't take something away from others.
1) add anomalies like small holes full of rats
2) change the glass shards anomaly, if you run you will get hurt but walking won't hurt
3) choose what the compass should show
4) when choosing the VETERAN game mode, your game will only be saved when you are in safe places (beds and campfires).
